Call for Submissions:
The New Gonzo Project!!!
We are seeking insightful, clear, first-person narratives in the spirit of Gonzo journalism. Through poetry, fiction, CNF, and digital art, paint a picture, craft a narrative that reports honestly within the strange mechanism of the present moment. We need social temperature reports. Trailer park happenings. Rooftop perspectives of cities that smell like cheap beer foaming onto your laps while your neighbors launch fireworks ninety degrees into the stinking air while manic dogs curse the foul ambience of a Tuesday night, if only because they can.
New Gonzo captures what is happening right now in the wild fog of 2026. It is conviction on the page. It is writing that bleeds honestly but still stands with dignity. It’s immersive. It’s subjective. It’s not afraid to be hyperbolic if it drives the message home. We want creative work that looks directly at the absurd, the perverse, the ridiculous, and the real.
We want words and images with gravity. Twin grenades rolling down a steel pipe onto the virtual page. We want to hear the hiss.
Check out our Submissions page for guidelines and more details!!!
Subs open April 15, 2026 @ midnight!!!

Note from the EIC…
Hello All,
Glad to be back for the month of April with more amazing poetry, fiction, CNF, digital art, and more for your reading/viewing pleasure. Blood+Honey will soon be accepting submissions for our New Gonzo Project, inspired by the “gonzo” journalism of Hunter S. Thompson and spearheaded by B+H CNF Editor Daniel Bailey. Subs open April 15, 2026!!! We have engaged some pretty significant figures in the “gonzo” arena to help us out with this, so we are excited to see where this goes. Some really cool irons in the fire.
Blood+Honey is psyched, once again, that Chill Subs has deemed us worthy of some praise. We recently were included in their “Where the cool kids are submitting their writing” list in the later part of March. We definitely agree.
As you may have noticed, Blood+Honey has added a donation button to its menu. Many of you have asked how you can help support B+H, so we created the button to allow supporters the ability donate (one-time or onging) some love to help us cover some of the costs of operating the mag. Donations are never expected but always appreciated.
Of couse, I have to show some love to our talented editors for all that they do. Blood+Honey wouldn’t be what it is without them. Also, a big THANKS to our readers and contributors for all their support. You guys make all this worthwhile.
Enjoy!
