BIO: Robert Sheppard has published numerous books of poems, including, recently, British Standards  (Shearsman) – post-brexit sonnets versioning canonical Romantic sonnets – and Doubly Stolen Fire (Aquifer), a meditation in prose and poetry on authorship, real and imaginary. Elle – a verse novel will be published by Broken Sleep this year. A critic and theoretician of poetics, his The Necessity of Poetics is published by Shearsman. He lives in Liverpool, and is Emeritus Professor of Poetry and Poetics at Edge Hill University.
