BIO: Blair Nelsen is a poet who draws inspiration from religion, ecology, and social justice movements. Blair holds a Master of Arts in Religion from Yale Divinity School and a BA with honors in Environmental Studies from Brown University. She has lived for extended periods in the US, Brazil, and Venezuela, and her multicultural experiences also inform her work. Her poetry is a holy witness to the miracles of the ordinary and a serious grappling with the consequences of the climate crisis. Previous nonfiction pieces have appeared in such outlets as Living Peace, Earth & Altar, the Leadership Conference of Women Religious’ Resolutions to Action, and the Waterspirit newsletter. She has also translated three books by the Brazilian author Oberom, including Vegan Yoga (2022).
