A Cinquefoil’s Polygon
Burnt Cape, Ha-Ha Bay, Newfoundland
five petals
of a pentagon,
540 degrees,
centre a glistening star
of silver foil
within these polygons—
all shapes weather
a depression
of collapsing
ragged
twist of lime-
stone, splintering
spiralling,
frost and all,
into cracked
and crooked
