“We would hardly wish to know ourselves again as once we were and yet we mourn the days.”

- Cormac McCarthy, The Passenger

Why do we

think we would

have hardly

a problem if a wish

took us back to

early days? What we know

about ourselves

will cause problems again.

New ones, as

spectacular as those once

entangling us. We

cannot control who we were,

only intervene now, and

improve who we are yet

to be. We

must not mourn.

Let it be The

Past.
