Digital Art by Brad Ford
Robots Army
BIO: Ford represents a distinctive archetype in the contemporary art world: the hybrid practitioner who refuses the traditional siloing of the "studio artist," the "technologist," the "administrator," and the "educator." Instead, his career operates as a complex system of feedback loops where each role feeds and destabilizes the others. He is at once a creator of "Digital Dada"—a movement that violently repurposes consumer electronics into static sculpture—and a custodian of civic stability through his directorship of the Erie Art Company and his stewardship of the Lake Erie Literary Festival. He is a breaker of screens and a builder of institutions.
