David Estringel is a Xicanx writer/poet, Professor of English, and Pushcart/Best of Net nominee with a BA in English Studies and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Texas. His works have appeared (or are forthcoming) in various literary publications, such as The Opiate, BULL, Mythic Picnic, Azahares, Setu, Cephalorpress, Sledgehammer Lit, Ethel, North Meridian Review, Literary Heist, Cowboy Jamboree, Sudo, San Antonio Review, Punk Noir Magazine, Poetry NI, Futurists & Fugitives, Dreich, Somos en escrito, Fahmidan Journal, Culture Cult Press, The Milk House, Beir Bua Journal, Poetry NI, Terror House Magazine, Expat Press, Horror Sleaze Trash, Fevers of the Mind, Apocalypse Confidential, Rigorous, Harpy Hybrid Review, The Honest Ulsterman, Red Fez, Drunk Monkeys, The Blue Nib, Spit Poet Zine, Moot Point, Dumpster Fire Press, Roi Faineant Press, South Broadway Ghost Society, Citywide Lunch, The Pixelated Shroud, and Streetcake Magazine.

David has written and/or published seven poetry/hybrid collections which include, Indelible Fingerprints (Alien Buddha Press, 2019), Blood Honey (Anxiety Press, 2022), Cold Comfort House (Anxiety Press, 2022), little punctures (Really Serious Literature, 2023), Blind Turns in the Kitchen Sink (Anxiety Press, 2023), Brujeria (Alien Buddha Press, 2025), and Down the Bermuda Highway (Alien Buddha Press, 2025). David has also written six poetry chapbooks, Punctures (Really Serious Literature, 2019), PeripherieS (The B’K, 2020), Eating Pears on the Rooftop (Finishing Line Press, 2022), Golden Calves (Back Room Poetry, 2023), Sour Grapes (Two Key Customs, 2023), and Blue (Back Room Poetry, 2023) . David's first co-authored novel Escaping Emily was released by Thirty West Publishing House in June 2024.

David has also won multiple screenwriting and scriptwriting awards for his projects "Roadkill" and "Brujo."

David is the Editor-in-Chief of The Argyle Literary Magazine and Blood+Honey. In the future, he will be Chief Executive Officer of Blood+Honey Press (currently a work-in-progress).
