Daniel Bailey
CNF Editor
Daniel Bailey is a writer, editor, and multi-instrumentalist from Madisonville, Louisiana. As Creative Nonfiction Editor at Blood & Honey Magazine, he is passionate about publishing bold, voice-driven work that leans into emotional rawness, experimentation, and truth.
Daniel is the founder of RH&N Records and a graduate of RCC in New Orleans, where he studied under Grammy-winning producer Rick G. Nelson. His writing blends personal history with cultural observation, often exploring the strange, sacred, and spiritual through the lens of the American South.
His work has appeared in Blood & Honey, Maudlin House, and The Pixelated Shroud, and has appeared (or has a forthcoming) in Country Roads Magazine, where he writes essays that merge narrative intimacy with literary reportage.
Also an active performer, Daniel tours the South with original music that is spontaneous, story-driven, and emotionally charged. In 2026, he will perform at GonzoFest in New York City and is excited to share his year of writing with the Gonzo community and experience NYC for the first time. He believes inspiration is a force, not a forced moment, and he creates to make people laugh, think, move, or walk outside and start something wild.
